Emergency Communication

The emergency communication solution is based on backpack and vehicular integrated 4G/5G Base Station, which is compliance with LTE or 5G NR standard defined by 3GPP. The baseband and RF, Core Network functions have been built in the portable Base Station, and the wideband digital trunking function is optional.

The portable integrated 4G/5G Base Station is suitable for backpack, vehicle mobile or fixed coverage scenarios. The emergency communication solution is designed for the field scientific research, forest fire prevention, disaster rescue, and other emergency scenarios.

1. Typical application modes

The portable 4G/5G Base Station has the high integration. The baseband and RF, Core Network and wideband digital trunking functions can be integrated inside one physical node to support high speed data, voice and video trunking and other multimedia dispatching functions. The portable 4G/5G Base Station supports several relay transmission modes to connect with remote headquarters by satellite link, microwave, 4G/5G telecom link or optical transmission.

When the disaster occurred the backpack 4G/5G Base Station can build an emergency communication network as quickly as possible to work as an island independently, which is suitable for the area that vehicles can not arrive. The salvagers take the Base Station on back and enter the disaster area on foot to carry out rescue.

The backpack Base Station can connect with the vehicular Base Station by wireless relay transmission mode to cover larger area for emergency rescue. The users registered on the backpack or vehicular Base Station can roam each other to provide a more flexible mobile communication network for emergency rescue. The emergency communication vehicle can be used as the front-end emergency command center, which is connected with the remote command center by the satellite link to realize remote command and rescue guidance.

2. Highlights

a) High integration and flexible Network mode 

The baseband and RF, Core Network and wideband digital trunking functions have been integrated inside the portable 4G/5G Base Station to provide high speed data, voice and video trunking and other multimedia dispatching functions. 

The networking mode is flexible according to different application scenarios, and the external high-gain antennas on the portable lifting rod can improve the coverage of a single Base Station.

b) Small size and light weight

The total weight of backpack Base Station is only less than 10kg, and a single person can carry the Base Station on back easily. The frame of vehicular Base Station is the standard 19-inch structure and the height is only 4U, which is convenient to be installed and deployed.

c) Fast deployment and convenient operation

The portable Base Station can enter working condition and complete network deployment within 5 minutes with one-button power on function. The configuration and operation are convenient by the control panels and LCD display on the Base Station. The portable Base Station supports frequency scanning function and the optimal frequency can be configured based on the scanning results.

d) Rich services and functions

The portable Base Station can provide rich services and functions including VoLTE/VoNR HD voice and video call services, broadband digital trunking services, multimedia dispatching function and high-speed wireless data service. It can also connect with the emergency command platform and other application platforms.

e) Energy saving and strong environment adaptability

The high efficiency amplifier technology and power saving mode function of the portable Base Station can help reduce the power consumption. The battery life is more than 4 hours. The Ingress Protection level is IP65 and it can work in all kinds of outdoor application environments.
